The Women’s Division of the Garden Grove Chamber was created in 1960. The Division is an active, vital part of the Chamber. The purpose of the Women’s Division is to promote and coordinate civic improvement projects, community–wide cultural and art projects. The Women’s Division hosts a monthly luncheon, the third Thursday, September through June. The luncheon is held at the Garden Grove Elk’s Lodge. Each April the Women’s Division hosts the Silver Spoons Tea. This event recognizes persons in local community service organizations who have made a major contribution to their organization and to the community. Each honoree is presented with a decorative sterling silver spoon pin. Over 400 people attend the Tea. The Women’s Division actively supports the projects of the main Chamber.
